Watchlists
Organize and monitor the companies you care about with custom watchlists.
Overview
Watchlists are the foundation of personalized monitoring in Irora SEC. They let you group companies by any criteria — investment portfolio, research project, industry sector, or any other theme — and then track all filing activity, insider trading, and congressional trading for those companies in one place.
Create as many watchlists as your plan allows
Live filing counts, insider stats, and flow data
Set alert rules scoped to any watchlist
Share watchlists with team members

The Watchlists page provides an overview of all your lists with summary statistics including total filings, insider buy/sell counts, congressional trades, and net insider flow for each watchlist. Click any watchlist to drill into a detail view with company-level breakdowns.
Creating Watchlists
Follow these steps to create and populate a new watchlist:
Name Your Watchlist
Click "New Watchlist" and enter a descriptive name like "Tech Mega Caps" or "Small Cap Biotech" to identify the group of companies you want to track.
Add Securities
Search by ticker symbol, company name, or sector. Click any result to add it. Companies already in the watchlist are excluded from suggestions.
Configure Monitoring
Choose which activity data to display on the watchlist card: filing counts, insider buy/sell breakdown, congressional trades, and net insider flow.
Set Alert Rules
Navigate to the Alerts page to create rules scoped to this watchlist. Get notified when specific events occur for your tracked companies.

Adding Securities
Once inside a watchlist detail view, click the Add Company button to open the search bar. You can search by:
- Ticker symbol — Type "AAPL" to find Apple Inc.
- Company name — Type "Microsoft" to find Microsoft Corporation
- Sector — Type "Technology" to browse technology companies
Search results appear as an autocomplete dropdown showing the ticker, company name, and sector badge. Click any result to add it to your watchlist. Companies already in the watchlist are automatically excluded from suggestions.
Monitoring
Each watchlist card on the overview page displays real-time activity data:
- Ticker Pills — Visual display of the first 5 tickers with a "+N more" indicator
- Filing Count — Total filings from watchlist companies in the selected period
- Insider Activity — Buy/sell count split shown as green (buys) and red (sells)
- Congressional Trades — Number of politician trades in watchlist companies
- Net Insider Flow — Dollar value of net insider buying or selling, color-coded green (positive) or red (negative)
- Latest Filing Date — When the most recent filing was published
The stats bar at the top of the page shows aggregate metrics across all watchlists: total watchlists, total tickers tracked, total filings, and total insider trades.
Alerts Integration
Combine Watchlists with Alerts
Watchlists integrate directly with the Alerts system. When configuring an alert, you can scope it to a specific watchlist so that the alert only fires for companies in that list. This is especially useful for:
- Getting notified when any watchlist company files a new 10-K or 8-K
- Monitoring for insider trading activity above a specified dollar threshold
- Tracking price movements for watchlist companies
- Detecting insider cluster activity in your watched companies
Managing Lists
From the watchlist detail view, you can manage individual companies:
- Remove a company — Click the remove button next to any ticker to remove it from the watchlist. An undo toast appears for 5 seconds in case of accidental removal.
- Delete a watchlist — Click the Delete button in the top-right to remove the entire watchlist. This also shows an undo option.
- View company detail — Click on any company in the watchlist to navigate to its full company profile page with filings, insider trades, and more.
Pro users also have access to the "Auto-add from Explore flows" feature, which automatically adds companies to a watchlist when they match criteria defined in a Signal Lab flow.
